AI Translation

This feature translates the content of the selected field into different languages using artificial intelligence. This feature simplifies the translation process and enables efficient multilingual management of product sheets.

Translation at the field level

The AI icon only appears in the multilingual fields of the file that are set to be translated:

How it works

By clicking on the AI icon, you will have the Translate option. A new menu appears to choose the translation language:

You can choose your choice by selecting the language variants.

For example, if the language is English, you can specify whether you want American or British English.

The languages displayed correspond to those defined by your account administrator.

Once you have chosen the language, a window opens taking the initial language, which is the language previously entered in the field.

In our example below, the English language is used as the basis for translating the content into Spanish:

Once the translation window opens, the translation will be generated automatically.

Regenerate

  • This button is used to generate an alternative translation if the initial translation does not meet your requirements.

  • Once you click on this button, a new translation is created. A pagination is displayed (bottom left of your window), so that you can go back to the initial translation and compare the translations:

Apply

  • The Apply button validates the translation. The translated text is saved, so the button will be grayed out.

Nb: If you choose an American English variant, the text will be applied in the English language.

If you wish to modify the translation after it has already been applied, click on the Regenerate button or modify the translated text manually.

The Apply button will be available again.

When you want to confirm the translation, you can click on the Apply button.

When you click on the Apply button, a confirmation message will be displayed asking you for a final confirmation:

  • If the field is empty: “Are you sure you want to apply the translation? If yes, the translated text will be added to the file?”

  • If the field contains values : “Are you sure you want to apply the translations? If yes, the translated text will be added to the file and will replace the existing original content?”

Translate into several languages

As a reminder, you can only choose one language at a time in the translation field.

You will need to repeat the translation procedure if you wish to translate your field into another language. Otherwise, please refer to the AI Translation | 🪄 Translation of the product sheet

Once you click Apply, the translated text will automatically be saved in the product file. There is therefore no need to click on the Save button afterwards.


Translation of the product sheet

The AI icon appears in the product file:

You can use this button if you want to translate several fields on a product sheet. A new window opens, taking as its default the initial language represented by the flag to the left of the IA button.

For example, if the flag displayed in the product sheet is that of France, all translations will be made from the French content into the languages selected in the window. We choose to translate into English, German, Arabic, Mandarin and Danish:

A maximum of 5 languages can be selected.

If a language has variants, for example :

  • English

    • American

    • British

You must select the language and the proposed variant:

Please note that you can only select one variant per language.

In the options filters, you can refine by section and/or field and then choose the languages.

Clicking on the Translate button generates the translation for the 5 languages selected below:

If you have chosen multi-recipient fields and these are intended for different markets and/or customers, these fields will be displayed twice.

For example, for the Marketing Message field :

  • You have a marketing message for the e-commerce market

  • You have a second marketing message for the store market

The logo lets you know which recipient has been configured.

Regenerate and Apply

At the Field

Next to each field are two action buttons, Regenerate and Apply .

They are available at field level for all translated languages, allowing you to regenerate or apply the translation specifically for that field in a specific language, if required.

Once the translation has been applied, an icon Applied will appear next to the field, and it will be greyed out to indicate that the translation has already been validated.

At page level

At the bottom right of the page are two action buttons, Regenerate and Apply .

You need to select several fields to make these buttons available.

These two buttons allow you to regenerate or apply translations for all selected fields in all selected languages in a single action.

You also have the option of manually editing the translated text before applying the translation. This gives you additional control over the translation process.

A final confirmation message will appear asking you to confirm your choice;

“Are you sure you want to apply the translations? If so, the translated texts will be added to the form and will replace the existing original content.”

Reminder: If you wish to apply another translation using the same language after having already applied your translation: click on the Regenerate button or manually modify the translated text and the Apply button will be available again.
