The 2nd GS1 2024 release will be deployed in production on May, 18th 2024.

You will find hereunder the main changes for the French and Benelux markets.

FRENCH MARKET:

  1. Evolution of visual management: visuals can now be exchanged on all types of logistics units. This development is already in production on Gaia. All you have to do is choose the hierarchical level corresponding to your visual:

  1. Management of composite packaging materials: You can now fill in the details of composite packaging materials, a development already present on Gaia. If you declare a composite material in the first table, you must indicate the details in the second table:

  1. Name change and migration of product variant tags: if you declare the production variants, nothing changes, we manage the changes directly.

  2. New tag added:

BENELUX MARKET:

  1. 2 new attributes added: productTextureCode + productTextureAgencyCode

  2. Updating the lists of values: you will find the lists here: Documentation | GS1 Belgium & Luxembourg (gs1belu.org)

  3. Code Intrastat: new control that checks if the entered Intrastat code is a correct one and still in use. The code must be a current value from the 'EU Combined Nomenclature code list' (see https://www.cbs.nl/codelijstenihg).
